CREWLINK IRELAND ARE RYANAIR

It has come to our attention that Andrew Swan & Ashley Caffrey are asking students at Hahn Ryanair Cabin Crew Training Camp to pay 3000 Euro, sign the probationary contract before students have passed all exams.
This is yet one more safety issue getting broken by Ryanair. All exams as Cabin Crew should be fully passed before signing of any contract. We at Ryanairdontcare Question the level of training which is carried out at Hahn Camp.
Ryanair/Crewlink are only interested in the 3000 Euro fee and placing prcc all over Europe to recruitment scam.

General Manager: Ashley Caffrey   e: ashley@crewlink.ie
These two above are conning students all the way, which is lining Bonderman and O'Leary's pockets...

Above comment,
Thank you for your interest in our blog.
Life long Dream to become cabin crew can happen with any good airline.I can not tell you not to join Ryanair, what i will say is this,
if i was following a dream as cabin crew i would join an airline that was not ANTI union, less chance of a nightmare..
Good Luck

I have worked with an ex employee of ryanair and she said they were very good to there staff. This airline has very bad press but I work in a hotel and I read the reviews and if I personally hadn't both worked and being a guest there I would think it was the worst place in the world. I think people need to try something before knocking it.

Yes i do agree you must try before you buy...It is a bit different when its a job...Contracted cc are not treated the same as Probationary Cabin Crew which is a workforce of 4000.
This blog is issues that relate to Probationary Cabin Crew mainly...I need to stress,Ryanair cabin crew training is up to £2000 with out accommodation which is £700 for a 6 week course..
That is £333 a week to study. If this was a university the year fee would be £17316....At a termination rate of up to 30% which Ryanair's McNamara ''the puppet''has said of 4000 Probationary cabin crew.RyanairDontCare Campaign put termination rate at 60% and not the lie McNamara has said.
If they,Ryanair were good to their staff why TERMINATE so many....Lets not forget the high training fee of new recruits........Once terminated, which ever country these terminated Probation Cabin Crew are based, they have to make their own way home some only 18 years of age. This is not a practise of a company who is good to their staff.
Ryanair have bad press with bad treatment of passengers but i tell you this, crew are exploited even more..
Thanks for your comment...

I tried to join Ryanair with Crewlink back in nov. 2010. People here mentioned like Andrew Swan were all around. I'm not going to speak for others, I'll just let everyone know my experience.

The course is actually 3000 €, paying 1000 € in advance (not refundable whatsoever), getting "borrowed" the 2000 € remaining from your salary over the first sixth months of your contract. Completing successfully the course will give you the chance to sign a 3 year contract. Not for Ryanair but for Crewlink, the school. Once the 3 year agreement is over you'll be likely out because Ryanair doesn't really care about crew.

Now the course is all about one thing: pressure. Particularly in Hahn, standing temperatures up to -10º, right in the middle of nowhere (closest supermarket is right opposite the highway, so you have to cross it walking). Daily tests forcing you to reach a 85 % mark on every one of them. There are also two important tests, Initial and Conversion, requering 85 % and 90 % mark on both. Otherwise they send you home.

Half of the students stay in a hotel with no kitchen, neither in common rooms nor in private ones. The other half stay in a tiny 2 room flat some km. far from the school.

Now what happened to me was really unfair. I have a visible tattoo on my right arm, and apparently is in their policies that employees should not have any visible tattoos. However they provide you grooming regulations in which is specified that tattoos may be covered with either plasters, bandages, make up... I hide it and then told them right after the Initial test (that was already a month since the course started), believing I could be fine. Nothing furthest from reality. They automatically removed me from the course, giving me 3 days to pack my things and buy a ticket back home by myself.

When I came back home and I rested a little, I contacted them along with my lawyer. It took them a week to answer me back with a letter saying that they considered the matter to be closed and they would defend any further legal action vigorously.

That's to say, they're freaking Ryanair and I'm only a crying baby with no chances to get my 1000 € back.

Funny to know that many Ryanair CC have huge visible tattoos.

It's also worth pointing out that many of my mates from the course have quit (about 20 of them, some very early) because of the unfair contract conditions.

I have nothing to say about teachers or the educational system they use because I have to recognise it was good though.

I don't really know if Ryanair employees usually have a bad time working there but I do know that there are other three Ryanair schools: St.James, Cavok and Dalmac. Anyone interested in becoming a CC shouldn't try with Crewlink.

And if you're reading this, Andrew Swan, I still remember you. Not in a good way.

Thank you for highlighting this John,I have now dissuaded my 18 year old from ever considering Ryanair. I have got her to hold on until some of the other airlines start recruiting.

I did the training at Hahn 2012 and one word DISGRACE - PLEASE NO ONE PUT MONEY INTO THIS TRAINING...GO FLYBE..EASYJET ETC NOT THESE GUYS!!!

I went to the seminar in dubin hotel and it looks promising - good pay , nice locations bla bla.. They told us we could pick of the 3 bases and most of the time it would be given.

I paid the money and waited - i was meant to get an email stating base i was getting before leaving..and never...but i went anyway BIG NO NO.

First day my name is on sheet saying PISA..I WOULD NO WAY WANT TO GO TO PISA..I ONLY WANTED UK OR IRELAND BASE!!!! That annoyed me...

Then accommodation is also ridiculously expensive esp for something in middle of nowhere!! We were told we would be staying in a 4 stay hotel - they even met us at one ...but no we got transported to some horrible hostel.

BASICALLY YOU SHARE WITH ONE OR TWO PEOPLE - NOT HAVE A PROPER BED....THE WHOLE HOUSE ABOUT 20-30 PEOPLE HAVE ONE REFRIGERATOR TO STORE FOOD...ONE SMALL HOB...NO OVEN OR KETTLE.... like come on????????????

I wasn't well at the time of going so you can imagine a week in i was tired and lacking food. I had to go to the nearby hotel to get something 3 times a week..i couldn't afford to everyday...the rest of the time was in supermarket getting simple things day by day. The supermarket was also a 30min walk on a old country road which i felt unsafe on. You go to classes from 8am to 6pm with one break - there is no cafe...so you sit on step to eat from a bap van that comes once a day...that is like your only hope!

PLEASE ANYONE THINKING OF THIS PLACE PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...THE ONLY THING I GAINED WAS 2 STONE LIGHTER AND ILL FROM IT ALL...AND OUT OF POCKET.

Hi everybody,

I'm glad I said no to CrewLink. I passed the assessment day a few weeks ago but I read so many bad comments about them. It's not fair to pay more than 2000 pounds a training and then be trained in bad conditions. Also I read on Internet that they only pay when you are in the air. If you have a meeting, team brief, between two flights or whatever. Apparently you don't get pay for it. So the price of the training and the conditions made me say no. Now they are chasing after me and I have the feeling they are only interested by the 500 pounds fee I supposed to pay 2 weeks ago. That's a dream to become cabin crew but not like that we deserve better.

Anonymous above Thank you for your comment and let us hope more young people will Boycott Ryanair/Crewlink/Workforce International.
I am very pleased that you can see they are only interested in the £500 registration fee...

I wish I had found this site before Christmas! My daughter attended the six week course through crewlink and passed her final test on Monday this week. Then had her medical yesterday at which point the doctor refused to carry out a medical as my daughter has POTS my daughter explained it is non life threatening at which point the doctor told her she could just drop down dead (not according to her cardiologist or majority sites via Google). Crewlink informed her today that because of this they are kicking her off course and no she can't have a refund of her 500 euro! She also did not get refund from the medical she didn't have! Absolutely livid - she has endured six weeks of hell travelling back and forth from Galway to Dublin to attend course, worked weekends for money to live on as crewlink don't pay during training she passed all her exams with flying colours to now be told give us uniform back washed dried and pressed!!

I'm not going to take this lying down!
