SCOTTISH FIRST MINISTER RYANAIR FUNDED GRANTS

Thank you for your email of 19 May to the First Minister regarding publicly funded training grants received by Ryanair in February 2010.  I have been asked to reply as I work within the Skills Programme Team.

The grant to which you refer was awarded to Ryanair to support the creation of a second maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at the airport. The Scottish Government supported the project with the offer of £1.5 million in Regional Selective Assistance and training grants through Scottish Enterprise.  As such, you would need to contact Scottish Enterprise directly to find out any further details about the training element of the contract.

The best way to contact Scottish Enterprise is by email at enquiries@scotent.co.uk or by telephone on 0845 607 8787 (calls charged at local rates).

Please do not hesitate to get back in touch if I can provide anything further information.

Yours sincerely
Anna Kynaston
